Engine:
Peugeot 1.9ltr Mi16 engine rebuilt by Des Developments,
The brief was Reliably and to produce a healthy 200 BHP / 150lbs torque without overstretching the ingredients
The short Motor was fully stripped micro inspected and acid cleaned and rebuilt in a dry state, A low mileage unground crankshaft was sourced from a low mileage donor engine, checked inspected lightened and balanced along with its lightweight flywheel
New liners and pistons were replaced and machined -40 thou, fully floating gudgeon pins and spray bars were replaced, upgraded oil pump and sprockets increasing to 8 bar rated
Des developments race specification baffled sump,
Cylinder head rebuilt with new valve seals phosphor bronze Group N guides, exhaust ports machined & polished / hand finished, Cat Cams 528 with adjustable vernier pulleys
Rebuilt using new gaskets / seals / timing belt kit & alternator belt
Jenvey throttle bodies ( supplied by Skip Brown )
Longman inlet manifold
Maniflow exhaust manifold with custom twin box stainless system
